LSC’s Quad-LOK Release (QLR) is the first purpose-built device intended for helicopter hoisting operations that is designed to release loads of up to 400KG. The QLR (US PAT. 10,844,932) is a completely ambidextrous device with no front or back making one-hand operation (by feel alone) in any orientation simple and easy while the four independent locks keep the device secure. The QLR is integrated on the riser hoist strap and allows for quick release from the hoist cable in the event of an emergency. The QLR is FAA Approved as part of the TRITON II Harness system under TSO-C167.
